Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the VaultPassword browser extension and associated services ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Service.
These Terms apply to all users of VaultPassword, including visitors, registered users, and any other parties who access or use the Service.
Description of Service
VaultPassword is a password management extension that allows users to securely store, organize, and autofill login credentials for websites and applications. The Service includes:
- Encrypted storage of passwords and associated login information.
- Autofill functionality for login forms on websites.
- Two-factor authentication (2FA) support for enhanced account security.
- Import and export of credentials in supported formats.
- Account management through our secure API.
Account Registration
To use VaultPassword, you must create an account. By registering, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
- Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate and complete.
- Keep your password confidential and not share it with any third party.
- Be solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.
You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use VaultPassword only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms. You must NOT:
- Use the Service to store, transmit, or process any illegal, harmful, or malicious content.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its related systems.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the extension.
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or interact with the Service in an abusive manner.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its associated infrastructure.
- Use the Service to violate the privacy or rights of others.
- Attempt to circumvent any security measures implemented in the Service.
Intellectual Property
VaultPassword and all its components, including but not limited to the software, design, text, graphics, logos, and interfaces, are the exclusive property of VaultPassword and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the extension solely for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. This license does not include the right to sublicense, sell, resell, transfer, assign, or otherwise exploit the Service or any portion thereof.
User Data and Privacy
Your use of VaultPassword is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
You retain ownership of all data you store within VaultPassword. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over the credentials and information you store using our Service.
Security Responsibilities
While VaultPassword employs industry-standard security practices to protect your data, you acknowledge that no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. You are responsible for:
- Choosing a strong and unique master password for your VaultPassword account.
- Enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) for additional account protection.
- Keeping your device and browser up to date with security patches.
- Logging out of your account on shared or public devices.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. You use the Service at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VAULTPASSWORD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR LOSS OF BUSINESS, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, our liability shall be limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Account Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or is otherwise objectionable.
You may terminate your account at any time by following the instructions in the extension or by contacting us at [email protected]. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease, and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Data Deletion Policy.
Modifications to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or Service features. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the extension or via email. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were last revised.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the applicable jurisdiction.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Data Deletion Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and VaultPassword regarding the use of the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
